Slab Acoustic Float Floor

Farrat jack up floating floor system.
Slab acoustic float floor. Jack up floating floors comprise of a concrete slab which is poured on a damp proof membrane on the structural slab. Farrat lightweight floating floor system. Rebated edges if chosen help prevent grout leakage and thermal acoustic bridging. The tissue facing allows the laying of wet screed directly to aimcoustic floor slab without building paper.
Dry system floating slabs can be created from 2 3 layers of acoustic plasterboard 12 5 or 15mm thick sandwiched between 15 or 18mm thick ply or 2 3 layers of cement particle board typically 18mm thick. The slab is then jacked up by way of units cast into the slab. Aimcoustic floor slab may be used under a fine concrete screed in wet construction or under flooring grade chipboard in dry construction. In our acoustic range you will find floors with an impact sound reduction of 14 15 17 19db.
Our acoustic floating floor systems are often used to prevent transmission of vibration and airborne noise from entering the space in which the floating floor is installed. Forbo flooring is a specialist in acoustic floors with more than 32 years experience. The system can be used to support lightweight floors and screeds through to heavy raft foundations with typical air gaps between floors ranging from 50mm to 150mm. That s why acoustic floors are key when it comes to reducing noise in buildings.
They are favoured by acoustic consultants because of the certainty that the slab is fully decoupled from the surrounding.
